Our Jet Bracelets are made with the best quality of Spanish Jet (from Asturias, Spain) by our artisans in Santiago de Compostela, which is well know for the Azabache Jewelry tradition. Between the 11th and 17th centuries "Camino de Santiago" (Saint James Way) had tremendous significance in Europe. The Spanish jet industry decreased significantly by the end of the 16th century because of the decline in pilgrimages.
At present jet is still worked by artisan craftsmen, but using modern tools and modern designs to produce ornamental objects and jewelry. The final result is an exceptionally attractive product of high quality that is very much appreciated.
